Alterations

A Personalized Experience From Start to Finish

Kelsey had dreamed of a beautiful fall-themed wedding. Her bridesmaids would be dressed in varied autumnal colors and her flower girls would wear off-white. Kelsey hand-selected bridesmaid dresses from “Etsy” to align with the theme and bought her own wedding gown in person. Teri made significant alterations to Kelsey’s dress and created a cathedral-length veil with a flower crown to accompany her down the aisle.

After the successful modifications to Kelsey’s dress, a problem arose when one of her bridesmaids failed to order her dress on time. With less than a month until the wedding, she had nothing to wear.

The Work Continues

In addition to making alterations to Kelsey’s wedding gown and creating a new dress for her bridesmaid, Teri was asked to design dresses for Kelsey’s three young flower girls. With two of the flower girls living out of state, Teri was responsible for creating perfectly fitting garments without seeing the girls in person. She sent kits to the parents of the flower girls containing a measuring tape and a step-by-step guide on how to record the necessary measurements. Teri also asked for the dress size generally worn by each of the three flower girls to get a better understanding. After receiving the sizing information and measurements, Teri produced three beautiful, off-white, short dresses that flawlessly aligned with Kelsey’s vision for the little ones.

The parents of the flower girls who lived out of state were especially impressed by the seamless fit of the dresses without a prior meeting to take exact measurements from the girls.

Despite some minor bumps in the road, the wedding proved to be the magical fall fantasy Kelsey desired.
